Clint and Amber Barner met in 2001 in Fort Leonardwood, MO while in military training for the Army. They married in 2002, and moved to southwestern Wisconsin (where Amber is from). They spent 6 and 8 years in the Army National Guard (respectively). Clint worked primarily in the agricultural industry and managed a federal slaughter facility and butcher shop while in Wisconsin. Amber obtained a degree in Accounting and her CPA license, and has worked in Corporate Finance for the majority of her career. In 2015, they moved from Wisconsin to Havana, IL, Clint's hometown, with the long-term plan of opening a butcher shop for the community. Finally, after many twists and turns, tears and laughter, ups and downs, that dream has become a reality!
Clint and Amber have 3 boys, Dominique, Brayden, and Jaxon. Dominique graduated from Havana High School in 2021, goes to school at SIUE studying constructional engineering, and is a soldier in the Army National Guard. Brayden graduated high school in 2024 and will be leading the on-the-farm harvesting for Barner's Butcher Block, and Jaxon will be entering the 7th grade this fall (2024). The entire family loves the outdoors and has a passion for this business and community!

BRAYDEN BARNER
Brayden, the middle child of Clint and Amber Barner, has spent most of his life learning the trade by helping the family with deer and animal processing. He graduated high school this year (2024), and will now proudly lead our on-the-farm harvesting. His experience, marksmanship, and love of animals are a blessing to our farmers and customers. Brayden lives in Matanzas Beach, and loves fishing, hunting, and playing with his puppy Bliss.

MARY THOMPSON
Mary is a member of the Barner family, and has spent most of her career in the meat industry. She and her husband Shelby have 2 grown children, and live in Bath with their 2 dogs. Mary has a passion for working hard, and loves to fish and go antiquing!.
Blayk has been cutting meat and learning the business since graduating high school in 2021, and has been a close friend of the Barner family since he was 12! Blayk lives with his girlfriend, Jasmine, in Kilbourne, and enjoys hunting, fishing, playing sports and cliff jumping!

Colton Westerfield
Colton joined the work family last year, learning to cut meat, providing support throughout deer season and helping with whatever tasks were asked of him! He graduated high school this year (2024), and we're fortunate to have him continue on as part of the Barner's Butcher Block family in this new venture. Colton lives in Liverpool and enjoys fishing and hunting.

Chad & Brooke Trickey
Chad and Brooke are the owners of our partner food truck, Trickey Treats, and will be providing sandwiches, fresh mini-donuts, sides and treats onsite! Chad was also the lead contractor in constructing this location and will be providing ongoing maintenance support to ensure we can keep delivering for our customers! Chad & Brooke live outside of Havana with their 3 beautiful daughters.
Sean Tippett
Sean joined the work family last year and provided much-needed support processing deer in our crazy deer season! Sean lives with his wife Abby in Chandlerville. He enjoys spending as much time as he can outdoors hunting and fishing.
